Operating Instructions
  1. Ensure the materials to be bonded are dry, clean and free from grease and other loose material. Abrasion of hard smooth surfaces is recommended.
  2. ​Load the gluesticks through the grip ring in the rear of the appropriate glue gun.
  3. Press the trigger several times until the stick is postioned firmly in the gun.
  4. Plug in the gun, the light at the back of the gun will show that the gun is operational.
  5. Allow the gun to warm up for approximately 5 minutes.
  6. Press the trigger until the glue flows from the nozzle.
  7. Apply the adhesive to the substrate, that is the most difficult to bond (i.e in general metal, hard and smooth surfaces are more difficult to bond than rough porous surfaces).
  8. The glue need not be spread. Press the surfaces together as soon as possible after application (within 15 seconds for best results) and apply as much pressure as practicable. The open working time is up to 45 seconds depending of the nature of the substrates, application temperature, volume and cross-section of applied adhesive and closing pressure.
  9. Do not move or adjust the surfaces after contact has been made as inferior bond strength will result. As a general guide a properly formed bond will after joining achieve handling strength within 1 minute  and full strength of 75% within 1 hour and 100% within 2 hours.
  10. Unplug the gun when finished.
  11. Surplus glue may be removed with a sharp knife.
  12. Do not remove the glue stick from the back of the gun as damage may occur.
