Blade Widths
Blade Widths are measure from the tooth tip to the back edge of the blade.
For cutting curves and radii the blade should be as wide as the machine permits but still narrow enough so that it can cut the desired shape (radius).
For straight cutting, the blade should be as wide as the machine permits. The wider the blade, the more beam strength it has to promote straight and more accurate cuts

Blade Lengths
To measure the length of your blade we would suggest the following procedure;
1) Find a large area of clear floor.
2) Make a mark on your blade and the floor.
3) Roll the blade along the floor until you reach the mark.
4) Make another mark on the floor.
5) Measure the distance between the two marks to find the eact length of your blade.

Blade TPI (Teeth per Inch)
The TPI you require will typically be dependant on the material you are cutting.
There are no universal blades so for best results you should change the blade when cutting different materials.
Using the wrong TPI can dramatically reduce the life of the blade.
As a guide we would suggesting using the following;
Soft Wood: 4 or 6TPI
Hardwood: 10TPI
Acrylic: 14, 18 or 24TPI
Metals: 24 or 32TPI
